Shepherd of the House

HE MET GOD'S STANDARDS

FAITHFUL MEMBER

Before we do, God sees our potential. God saw a man with a shepherd's heart. As a result, on Saturday October 20, 2018, Elder Charles W. McKenney became Pastor of the House of Prayer Church.

But even before becoming Pastor of the House of Prayer Church, he served faithfully. Under the leadership of the late Bishop Carl Ellis, Sr. he served on the Trustee Board and hosted the House of Prayer's Opening Prayer Broadcast. As well as the treasurer of the Brotherhood and Scout Master for the House of Prayer's  Boy Scout.

BAPTIZED OF WATER & OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

One of Pastor Charles McKenney's infamous saying is, "But God!" This is and continues to be his powerful testimony. Because ten years earlier, before being called to the Ministry. He was at his lowest point in life. No one else wanted to invest in him: "But God!" It was at this time, Pastor McKenney made a solemn vow to himself and God. He vowed to serve Him to eternity. God began to reshape and remold him. As well as, He renewed his heart. Then and now, Pastor Charles McKenney's desire is to be a blessing to the Ministry. Still today as Pastor of House of Prayer he teaches and preaches the baptism of water and of the Holy Spirit

A WILLING HEART

Pastor Charles McKenney also extends his services outside of the Church's walls. He is a recipient of the "Hudson County Childcare Community Service Award. 2006 Recipient of the Hattie Boyer Memorial Award and District 24 Ward F Community Person. As well as the first person to bring in a National Brand Restaurant in Hudson County. Lastly, Pastor McKenney is the Founder and President of the Mountain of Hope Organization. It is an organization which received over $50,000.00 for scholarships. So you see whenever God blesses one of His children, He blesses all!
